- Providing prompt, accurate, thorough, and courteous responses to various customer inquiries via telephone, written, web, or walk-in channels.
- Handling non-routine and complex inquiries requiring research and deviation from standard procedures.
- Accurately documenting and following up on inquiries and complaints until resolved.
- Initiating or processing adjustments, researching issues, and coordinating with other departments to resolve customer concerns.
- Assisting with special projects and priority inquiries as assigned by management.
- Offering feedback and recommendations for process improvements and maintaining departmental standards.
- Assisting with the training of new employees and cross-training of coworkers.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Possess at least 3 year of claims processing or call center experience OR a Bachelor's Degree in lieu of experience (required).
- Hold an Associate Degree (preferred).
- Have 3 years call center experience (preferred).
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Exhibit strong human relations, organizational, and judgment skills.
- Can handle high-stress situations and confidential information with discretion.
- Are able to learn and operate multiple computer systems efficiently.
- Are comfortable using basic computer operating systems, standard office equipment, and have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (preferred).
- Can work onsite at the client location in Columbia, SC.
- Have open availability to work between 8am and 8pm.
