Position Summary
The Temporary Office Assistant provides front office and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of agency programs and services. This position serves as a first point of contact for clients and community members, assists with application processing, and performs general clerical duties in support of agency staff and operations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
8AM - 4:30PM
Pay: $18/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls and route calls to appropriate staff members.
- Greet clients, visitors, and community members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receive, review, and process program applications to ensure forms are complete and required documentation is provided.
- Verify income documentation and other personal records in accordance with program requirements.
- Make copies, scan documents, and maintain accurate records.
- File and organize client and program documentation in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Retrieve incoming mail and distribute correspondence to appropriate staff members.
- Assist staff with general administrative and clerical tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and agency records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and community partners.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and email.
- Ability to review documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous administrative, clerical, customer service, or office experience preferred.
- Experience working with the public and handling confidential information preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
