We're looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic Electrical Hardware Engineer to join one of our premier clients! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with others, and making a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Get involved with bench tests and help bring up new boards-teamwork is at the heart of what we do!
- Support software engineers and technicians in the lab with your expertise.
- Work closely with our lead electrical engineer-receive guidance, learn from reference designs, and contribute your ideas.
- Select components, design circuits, and oversee schematic capture.
- Guide and review PCB layout work (no need to do the layout yourself, but your direction is key!).
- Prepare paperwork and release ECOs.
- Write board validation plans and personally test circuits, especially analog ones with op amps.
- Assist in bringing up and troubleshooting other PCBs as part of our ongoing projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years' experience in electrical hardware design (analog & digital)
- Comfortable designing, testing, and debugging circuits at the component level
- Hands-on with oscilloscopes, function generators, DMMs, and power supplies
- Strong technical writing skills-able to draft specs, test plans, and reports
- Experience using schematic capture programs (Cadence is a plus!)
- Able to review schematics and build custom test jigs for efficient testing
- Great at turning verbal instructions into clear technical documents and executing test plans
- Skilled at reading datasheets for complex devices and summarizing for software/firmware teammates
