Front Desk Administrator (Temp-to-hire)
OVERVIEW
We're seeking a professional and friendly Front Desk Administrator for a manufacturing company to be the first point of contact for our visitors, clients, and team members. In this essential role, you'll ensure smooth office operations and support our staff with a variety of administrative and coordination tasks.
• Location: 100% on-site - Houston, TX 77039
• Shift and Pay: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm | $23/hr
• Contract: W2 contractor through staffing agency, 6-month temp to hire
What You'll Do:
• Greet and assist all visitors, clients, and employees with a warm, professional attitude.
• Manage front desk activities, answer and route phone calls and emails, and maintain visitor logs.
• Coordinate conference room bookings, handle mail and deliveries, and support security procedures.
• Provide administrative support, format and distribute business documents, and maintain accurate filing and records.
• Schedule meetings, organize events, and help with data entry and report generation.
• Monitor office supplies, coordinate with vendors and service providers, and keep shared spaces tidy.
• Support new hire onboarding, assist with travel arrangements, and handle expense reporting.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication, responding to inquiries with urgency and professionalism.
• Handle confidential information with discretion at all times.
What We're Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 2+ years' experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role.
• Strong computer skills-including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with office equipment (phone systems, printers, scanners). • Excellent organization, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Professional demeanor and a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
• Friendly, adaptable, and eager to support wherever needed.
