Job Summary:

We are seeking a Web Full Stack Developer to serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, development, integration, deployment, and support of enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and architecting web systems using Drupal, .NET, AWS, Azure, and container-based deployments, with strong knowledge of enterprise integration, security, DevSecOps, data, infrastructure, and user experience. This individual will serve as a Senior Full Stack Drupal Lead and Software Architect, working closely with end users, SMEs, developers, technical leadership, and enterprise architecture teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer, Drupal Lead, and Software Architect.
• Lead the analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, administration, and support of enterprise web applications.
• Design and develop full-stack solutions using Drupal, .NET, AWS, Azure, APIs, databases, and container-based technologies.
• Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain enterprise application architecture aligned with organizational standards and product roadmaps.
• Lead technical planning, requirements gathering, estimation, development, testing, implementation, and production support activities.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available web portals and enterprise applications.
• Develop and integrate Drupal Webform Module solutions.
• Integrate Drupal-based web content platforms with federal systems, on-premises environments, and cloud platforms.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement third-party Drupal marketplace modules/plugins where appropriate.
• Design and develop custom Drupal modules, connectors, and integrations when required.
• Review and validate implementations against architecture, design, performance, usability, and security best practices.
• Lead and support data migration, data modeling, reporting, and data integration activities.
• Develop technical process models, data models, application architecture, and user interface designs.
• Collaborate directly with end users and system SMEs to understand requirements and ensure delivered functionality meets business needs.
• Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical direction from requirements through delivery.
• Establish and promote development standards, coding practices, architectural patterns, and reusable solutions.
• Support DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, and cloud-based deployments.
• Ensure applications comply with applicable federal security, accessibility, and enterprise standards, including Section 508 requirements.
• Work closely with DOL enterprise, platform, and solutions architecture teams to ensure alignment with organizational architecture.
• Seek and incorporate DOL OCIO technical guidance and approvals when required.
• Provide technical recommendations for product roadmaps, platform capabilities, enterprise architecture, and modernization initiatives.
• Participate in and help facilitate Agile/Scrum/SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, technical design meetings, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Ensure development activities remain aligned with project schedules, product roadmaps, technical objectives, and business priorities.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, infrastructure, performance, and production issues.
• Stay current with emerging web development, Drupal, cloud, AI-assisted development, DevSecOps, and enterprise architecture technologies.
• Utilize approved AI-assisted programming tools to improve software development productivity, quality, and engineering practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Drupal development experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, Senior Developer, or Drupal Lead.
• Strong hands-on experience with Drupal/Acquia and enterprise Drupal implementations.
• Extensive experience with .NET/full-stack development.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise web applications and web portals.
• Experience with Drupal Webform Module.
• Experience integrating Drupal with federal systems, on-premises environments, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with container-based application deployments.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, enterprise integration, APIs, databases, data modeling, and application security.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
• Experience working in Agile and/or SAFe environments.
• Experience leading technical planning, requirements gathering, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Experience working directly with end users, stakeholders, and system SMEs.
• Experience developing solutions that comply with federal security and accessibility standards, including Section 508.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing Drupal plugins/modules and developing custom connectors or integrations.
• Substantial experience using AI-assisted programming and development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini, or other approved AI development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Drupal/Acquia certification.
• Agile/SAFe certification.
• Additional software development, cloud, architecture, or DevSecOps certifications.
• Experience working on federal government projects, preferably within DOL or other federal agencies.
• Experience with enterprise-scale Drupal implementations and modernization initiatives.
• Experience with cloud migration and modernization.
• Experience with AWS/Azure architecture and infrastructure.
• Experience with container technologies and cloud-native application deployment.
