PRISM is seeking a RHEL Administrator. This is an onsite position in Annapolis Junction, MD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, support, and optimize RHEL-based server infrastructure (RHEL 7.x/8.x/9.x), including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management
- Perform daily system administration tasks such as user management, permissions, file systems, and network configuration
- Monitor, analyze, and tune system performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations to safeguard data and maintain high availability
- Assess, recommend, and implement hardware and software solutions to meet evolving business and technical requirements
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation using tools such as Tenable, HP WebInspect, and other industry-standard platforms
- Investigate security incidents, assess risks, and design mitigation strategies; implement proactive and reactive security measures
- Manage and apply DISA STIGs and mitigate KEVs (Known Exploitable Vulnerabilities) to ensure compliance and security
- Automate routine tasks and system management using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.), and other tools to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, storage, application, and security) to support integrated solutions and resolve complex issues
- Provide technical guidance and support for system integration, migrations, and upgrades
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/EDUCATION)
- Active Secret clearance
- 7+ years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems is required; related experience is acceptable
- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime
- Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule
