General Summary
COLSA is seeking a highly skilled Cyber AI Specialist with deep expertise in artificial intelligence and hands-on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The ideal candidate will support advanced technology development, ensure cybersecurity compliance, and help integrate AI capabilities into mission-aligned systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
• Design, develop, and evaluate AI/ML models for defense-related applications.
• Support RMF activities across all phases, including documentation, control implementation, security assessments, and continuous monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance on AI model lifecycle management, model evaluation, data governance, and ethical AI considerations.
• Support system integration, testing, and accreditation efforts.
• Prepare clear, concise engineering documentation and briefings for technical and leadership audiences.

Required Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, information security, cyber security, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data-driven system design.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and DoW cybersecurity policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to start
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, engineering, or related field
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience deploying AI/ML models within secure environments.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, model explainability techniques, or high-assurance system design.
- Prior experience supporting Navy programs, laboratories, or warfare centers.
