Job Description

Position Overview:
• We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing planning activities within a cross-functional production environment.
• This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and management of Manufacturing Bills of Material and Order Bills of Material, ensuring alignment with engineering designs and production requirements.
• The ideal candidate will analyze engineering drawings, models, specifications, and established processes to develop detailed work instructions and supporting documentation.
• This position plays a key role in translating engineering intent into practical, executable manufacturing plans.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) and Order Bill of Material (OBOM)
• Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and procedures to define manufacturing sequences and processes
• Create and update comprehensive work instructions and supporting documentation for production teams
• Collaborate with Design Engineers and Production Engineers to ensure manufacturability and compliance with engineering requirements
• Interpret and advise on tooling, manufacturing processes, and engineering requirements
• Review and validate electronic work instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, including revisions and updates
• Support program reviews, management meetings, and production reviews by documenting, tracking, and closing action items
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, policies, and procedures

Required Skills:
• Teamcenter and/or SAP relevant to Bill of Material and/or Shop Floor Management
• iBASEt (Solumina) and/or Computer Aided Production Planning and/or Shop Order Maintenance
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in manufacturing planning processes and procedures
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Demonstrated technical writing skills for creating clear and accurate work instructions
• Excellent communication, organizational, scheduling, and time management skills
• Proficiency in relevant tools and systems, including: SAP (BOM management and/or Shop Floor Management), Teamcenter or other PLM systems, iBASEt (Solumina), CAPP (Computer-Aided Production Planning)
• Shop Order Maintenance (SOM), 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) or other model-based engineering systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with model-based manufacturing and digital thread environments
