Working alongside engineers, technicians, and program personnel, you will help transform engineering designs into functioning hardware while supporting the development of production documentation and engineering processes. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Principal duties and responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, troubleshoot, repair and modify electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical procedures.
- Perform functional testing using standard laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, FieldFox handheld RF analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
- Record test results, observations, and discrepancies using established documentation practices
- Assist engineers with prototype builds, system integration, hardware verification, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and work areas in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining production documentation, and other engineering records
- Document assembly observations, test results and configuration changes to support engineering and production activities.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office applications and approved document control practices.
- Participate in technical reviews and team discussions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical or vocational education.
- One year of experience assembling, troubleshooting, testing or maintaining electronic or electromechanical equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with soldering to IPC Standards and electronic assembly techniques.
- Experience with RF systems, antennas, fiber optics, or military electronic systems.
- Prior military electronics experience, particularly in submarine, RADAR, Imaging, or Electronic Warfare systems.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance. An inactive clearance within the previous two years is acceptable.
