Project Manager
Omitron is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO, to support IT network infrastructure projects for the US Space Force under the SPARTAN line of effort. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in project management methodologies and a working knowledge of IT network architecture. This role is a strong fit for a project manager ready to take full ownership of smaller projects and task orders while supporting Senior Project Managers on larger, more complex efforts within a secure and highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $190,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, technical expertise, certifications, security clearance, geographic location, internal equity, market conditions, contract requirements, and other factors.

Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned IT network projects and task orders from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
- Support Senior Project Managers on larger, multi-phase efforts by owning discrete workstreams, deliverables, and milestones.
- Build and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project for assigned projects, keeping tasks, dependencies, and percent complete current, and provide schedule inputs to the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as required.
- Manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items for assigned projects, ensuring each deliverable meets Statement of Work (SOW) requirements and is submitted on time.
- Brief project status, risks, and due-outs at the weekly SPARTAN project update meeting.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
- Coordinate day-to-day with stakeholders, including government customers, defense contractors, and IT teams, to keep work aligned with mission objectives.
- Support the design, deployment, and optimization of the SPARTAN network, ensuring compliance with DoD and federal regulations.
- Facilitate communication across technical and business teams to identify and resolve issues, escalating to program leadership as appropriate.
- Track project risks and issues, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones, providing regular status reports to the Program Manager and leadership.
- Attend customer meetings and support client communications.
- Coordinate development of deliverables and products.
- Contribute to proposal development and resource planning as needed.
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting IT or network infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: PMP certification, or the ability to obtain PMP certification within twelve (12) months of hire date.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project for schedule development and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and the build-out of new network nodes in support of a network-intensive program.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, scheduling, and risk tracking.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Education: Master’s degree.
- Experience: Experience supporting defense contracting programs or working within a classified environment; experience managing CDRL deliverables under a government contract; familiarity with government contract execution and stakeholder management.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification.
