Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to support a mission‑critical program focused on advanced space and satellite ground systems integration. This role operates at the intersection of test engineering, system integration, and mission readiness, supporting complex enterprise environments within a classified DoD setting.

This is an opportunity to join a high‑impact team responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and operational readiness of next‑generation space systems. You will provide technical leadership across the full testing lifecycle, from strategy development through execution and reporting.

Duties
- Develop and execute system‑level test strategies, plans, procedures, and verification artifacts
- Lead and support verification and validation (V&V) activities across integration and mission systems
- Coordinate test events across engineering teams, vendors, Agile groups, and government stakeholders
- Manage the Integrated Master Test Schedule (IMTS) for development and operational test events including Functional testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, Performance and cybersecurity testing
- End‑to‑end mission system validation
- Validate software builds, system configurations, and upgrades across enterprise environments
- Test and evaluate IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualized systems
- Design and implement test automation solutions integrated into DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines
- Support DevOps/DevSecOps workflows, including automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and deployment pipelines
- Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution across complex systems
- Produce test reports, readiness assessments, and risk summaries for leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with configuration management, cybersecurity, and test documentation standards
- Provide leadership during integration events, readiness reviews, and operational demonstrations

Basic Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- 8+ years of professional experience (or equivalent education/experience mix)
- System-level testing and integration
- Enterprise IT or mission systems environments
- Test planning, test case development, and execution
- Verification and validation methodologies (V‑Model)
- Complex test campaigns and system decomposition
- Servers, networking, storage, virtualization
- Experience designing or implementing test automation frameworks
- Agile development methodologies
- Secure development and DevSecOps environments
- Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

Desired Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- Have experience with space mission systems or enterprise satellite ground architectures.
- Have 1, or more, DoD 8570 certifications (such as Security+)
- Be able to operate independently within classified DoD environments.
- Be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Be familiar with DevSecOps/DevOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, automated software deployments, and secure, air-gapped environments.
