This is a high-impact position where your work directly enables successful missions, property compliance, and system reliability.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform and support Government Property transactions including receipt, identification, records updates, movement, transfer, shipment, utilization, storage, and disposition.
  • Conduct and/or support periodic physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations for both inventory and Government Property assets; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Property Management, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to ensure property records, asset status, and location data remain current and audit ready.
  • Support property audits, self-assessments, and compliance reviews by preparing records, reconciling data, researching variances, and resolving findings in a timely manner.
  • Monitor asset stewardship and internal control practices to reduce risk of loss, damage, destruction, misidentification, or unauthorized use of Government Property.
  • Support loss, damage, or destruction reporting and investigations, including documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking as required.
  • Ensure traceability of serialized and non-serialized assets, repairable items, and provisioning-related material throughout the asset life cycle.
  • Partner with supply chain and warehouse personnel to ensure Government Property and inventory are properly labeled, controlled, stored, and transacted in applicable systems.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required to support business, program, supplier, customer, or site requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant provisioning experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related provisioning experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related provisioning experience.
  • 4+ years of experience hands-on experience with Government Property administration, inventory accountability, or property control in a DoD, aerospace, defense, or other regulated environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with Government Property Management, inventory accountability, and asset stewardship in a regulated or contractual environment.
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining asset accountability and audit-ready records for Government Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), and/or other customer-owned assets, as applicable.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting physical inventory reconciliation, property audits, and discrepancy resolution in compliance-driven environments.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Working knowledge of FAR Part 45, DFARS 252.245-700X series requirements, and standard Government Property requirements and property lifecycle processes, including receiving, tracking, inventory, movement, audit support, and disposition.
  • Ability to analyze inventory/property data, identify control weaknesses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience with serialized asset tracking, custodial accountability, and material traceability.
  • Ability to interpret contract, customer, and internal property requirements and translate them into daily transactional compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Government Property Management responsibilities, including accountability, stewardship, record accuracy, receiving, identification, movement, utilization, storage, inventory, audits, disposition, and compliance with customer, contractual, and regulatory property requirements.
  • The Logistics Specialist / Provisioning role is intended for a professional with substantial prior relevant experience in logistics, provisioning, supply chain, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • This position works independently on moderately complex to complex assignments and applies practical knowledge, data analysis, and sound judgment to optimize stock levels, improve inventory accuracy, and support business and program objectives.
  • Experience working with formal Government Property Management Systems and associated internal controls.
  • Familiarity with property audit readiness, self-assessment programs, and corrective action closure.
  • Experience supporting Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) processes.
  • Familiarity with UID/serialization, asset tagging, location control, and chain-of-custody practices.
  • Experience with discrepancy reporting, LDD investigations, and property record reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present inventory status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in compliance with customer-specific property clauses and DoD property administration expectations.
