We are seeking a UX/CX Specialist SME to serve as FEMA's authoritative expert for human-centered design, service design, and customer experience across enterprise cloud modernization and disaster response digital services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop organization-wide CX strategy and design standards.
  • Lead service design across multiple systems/program portfolios.
  • Advise senior leadership on CX metrics, digital adoption, and usability risks.
  • Oversee comprehensive user research programs and accessibility governance.


Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced UX research and interaction design.
  • Deep knowledge of accessible design for federal systems.
  • Experience integrating UX with Agile/DevSecOps teams.


Education and Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Agile or UX certification preferred.


Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust. Active Public Trust is preferred. FEMA Public Trust is highly preferred.
