The role supports classroom, virtual, laboratory, and field training and may require up to 50% travel for training events, fielding activities, and customer support.

This position may allow for remote work; however, employees must be able and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as required by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs.

Duties:

  • Deliver technical instruction to military, Government, and contractor personnel in classroom, virtual, laboratory, and field environments.
  • Translate complex engineering and technical information into clear training content that supports system operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, and system-focused training events.
  • Develop assessments, testing materials, and evaluation criteria to measure student knowledge and performance.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using student results and feedback and revise course materials as needed.
  • Update training products to reflect new system fielding, capability upgrades, engineering changes, and technology insertions.
  • Document training activities, student performance, curriculum revisions, and required training records.
  • Coordinate with Government engineers, program managers, technical SMEs, and training teams to ensure course content remains technically accurate and aligned with current system configurations.

Desired Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Psychology, Training Systems, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent military instructor or directly relevant training experience may be considered.

Desired Experience:
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience supporting technical instruction, training program development, or instructional design.
  • Professional experience developing or delivering technical training for complex systems, equipment, or technologies.
  • Experience developing curricula, lesson plans, instructional materials, or technical training products.
  • Ability to understand technical source material and communicate system operation, maintenance, and procedures to diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating effectively with distributed Government and contractor teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in support of training events, fielding activities, and customer requirements.
  • Experience serving as a military instructor, training specialist, or technical trainer supporting Department of Defense programs.
  • Hands-on experience with defense systems, electronics, unmanned systems, or related technologies.
  • Experience developing instructor-led, computer-based, simulator-based, or interactive courseware.

Requirement: The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Group I/II s-UAS pilot certification and pass a FAA Class III physical.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
