Applicant must have one year of directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by providing oversight guidance to military and civilian human resource management programs to include but not limited to policies, regulations, and procedures; facilitating long and short range plans to be able to assess the impact on achieving overall command mission and objectives; supervising staff through evaluating subordinate employees performance, recommending staff decisions, and ensuring achievement of goals.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is designated Tier 5, Critical or Non-Critical Sensitive, High Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
- Appointment to this position is may be subject to a three year probationary period unless has previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- This position requires use of civilian and military transportation modes.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85.
- Signing of a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program)
- acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position.
- Those individuals not currently occupying a TDP position must successfully complete a pre-appointment drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter.
