Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tools Development Engineer to support a large‑scale, mission‑critical defense program focused on system integration and test activities. This role is not product development. Instead, it is centered on building and enhancing software tools, automation, and applications that directly support test environments, integration labs, and system validation efforts.
This is a hands‑on, engineering‑focused role working closely with system and test engineers in a fast‑paced, lab‑based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test tools, utilities, and engineering applications to support integration and validation efforts
- Design and implement automation solutions for integration and test processes
- Collaborate closely with systems engineers and test engineers to support lab and test environments
- Build scripts and utilities for lab, test, and validation environments
- Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot test frameworks and toolsets used by engineering teams
- Support ongoing system integration, testing, and validation activities
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (must be current to start)
- Experience developing tools or applications for engineering, integration, or test environments
- Background supporting integration and test teams in technical environments
- Strong programming experience with one or more of the following: Python, C++, MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated test systems or test automation frameworks
- Exposure to RF systems, defense systems, or aerospace programs
- Prior experience working in secure lab or defense‑contracting environments
