Energy Engineer
Springfield, VA
Active Top Secret | 10 Year Intel Contract
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Energy Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA to support our mission critical customer. Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The selected candidate will perform as a lead and expert energy manager for one of the most complex buildings operated by the US Government.
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a strategic energy management plan
• Trend analysis for greenhouse gases, fuel consumption, water consumption, sewer throughput, peak performance, and energy consumption
• Ensure building modifications comply with code requirements
• Coordinate and work closely with program management and government customer to define system specifications and requirements
• Develop, maintain and produce an energy conservation report
• Verify and comply with energy documentation standards and submissions.
• Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
• Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
• Serve as primary contract point of contact for energy management
• Perform planning activities to develop and maintain a Strategic Energy and Water Management Plan (SEWMP)
• Develop an Energy and Water Conservation Plan (EWCP)
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years of experience performing energy and resource management functions.
• Certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional (AP)
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience in the application of government regulations, codes and standards
• Certified PMP.
