Job Description
Deloitte is seeking a Data Engineer III to support the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions for mission-driven government clients. This role will help build modern data platforms using Databricks and cloud-based technologies to enable analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise data use cases. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in data engineering, strong technical execution, and the ability to contribute across the full data solution lifecycle.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $207,800.

Work you'll do
As a Data Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...
- Designing, developing, and deploying data engineering solutions using Databricks to support client data and analytics objectives
- Building and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines using SQL, Python, Apache Spark, and cloud-based data technologies
- Supporting data ingestion, transformation, validation, and optimization activities across large and complex datasets
- Collaborating with technical and functional team members to translate business and system requirements into scalable data solutions
- Assisting with platform enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and production support to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics
- 4+ years of hands-on project experience developing and deploying solutions on the Databricks platform
- 2+ years of experience using SQL, Python, and Apache Spark
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and associated data technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting federal, state, local government, or public higher education clients
- Active US government security clearance
- Experience designing and maintaining batch or streaming data pipelines in Databricks
