Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and supervises custodial work and supervises employees engaged in the performance of custodial tasks in the Embassy cleared office areas, conference rooms, special purpose (data processing and communication) areas, toilets, lobbies, corridors, stairways, under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. May also be required to perform all custodial tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE
Completed secondary school or obtained a GED.
A minimum of six years’ experience in planning and supervision of custodial services for office and recreational facilities is required.
Must have knowledge of cleaning supplies, applications, procedures and equipment. Must be familiar with the safe handling and application of cleaning products and equipment. Must use common sense in determining good safety practices when directing relocation of furniture and equipment.
Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office software applications is required Incumbent must have ability to coordinate, schedule, assign and train individuals and teams in a variety of jobs. Must be capable of performing some heavy physical work. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to perform all job activities and duties in a responsible manner to avoid the creation of safety or health hazards. Must be able to conform to established safety and health policy and procedures. Must be able to properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the job activity. Must report unsafe or hazardous conditions. Must inform supervisor of all accidents, illnesses and injuries. Must be 21 years of age or older. A Top Secret security clearance is required.
Must have oral and written communication skills sufficient to produce employee evaluations and written reports for upper management and to brief upper management on project status.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and supervises custodial work and supervises employees engaged in the performance of custodial tasks in the Embassy cleared office areas, conference rooms, special purpose (data processing and communication) areas, toilets, lobbies, corridors, stairways, under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. May also be required to perform all custodial tasks as needed.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensures that custodians perform all tasks in a safe manner;
- Ensures that all custodial services are performed in a manner comparable to the best commercial or government executive level;
- Schedules, normally on regular workdays between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (can fluctuate), daily and periodic cleaning services which include dusting, sweeping, washing, vacuuming, stripping, polishing, trash collection and removal, classified material collection, destruction (as needed) and disposal, window washing, and replenishment of toilet supplies. Certain customers may require variable schedules.
- Maintains records for each major task and major areas reflecting planned and actual performance of periodic services.
- Prepares and orders lists of consumable supplies, and non-consumable equipment and tools.
Other tasks as assigned.

- Education:
