Job Description:
We are seeking a Sub Assembly/ Racks Assembler to build and wire assemblies such as: power distribution load boxes, control/communication panels, joysticks, and related mechanical assemblies. The role requires reading blueprints, schematics, and BOMs; installing LEDs, push buttons, switches, handles, and fasteners; routing, dressing, stripping, and crimping wires; performing functional and workmanship inspections; and documenting results in work orders within our MRP system.
Mechanical Assembly Perform mechanical joining (threaded fasteners, rivets, adhesives, torque-controlled tightening) of chassis, optical modules, cooling fans, and structural frames.
Electrical Integration Install wiring harnesses, connectors, power distribution boards, and SSR modules; route cables per EMC guidelines.
Candidates must have 2 4?years of hands on assembly experience (aerospace, defense, industrial, or automotive), be proficient with crimping, soldering, torque tools, and basic continuous improvement methods (6S/Kaizen), and possess a high school diploma (associate s degree or IPC 610/OSHA 10 a plus). Behavioral expectations include reliable attendance, teamwork, clear communication, safety compliance, and a proactive attitude toward learning and process improvement. Conversion to permanent employment will occur after 12?months if the contractor meets all technical milestones (30 , 60 , 120 day evaluations) and behavioral standards (90 day performance).
Desired Skills:
2+ years of hands-on experience assembling electromechanical systems, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-end optics.
Continuous Improvement Previous Experience in Identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve cycle time, and enhance ergonomic safety; participate in Kaizen events.
Preferred Skills:
Completed WHMA-A-620 training or a current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship
Current J-STD-001 Certification
