In this role, you will join IBM's US Federal team to deliver secure, mission-critical technology solutions for government agencies. You'll work with federal, state, and local clients while developing specialized expertise in government compliance and security standards. Your role and responsibilities
As a Federal Associate Quality Engineer 2027 at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we're delivering the best of the best. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike.

- Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
- Create test data and test environments
- Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
- Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
- Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly

- Basic understanding of the process of Software Testing
- Introductory development background
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology-based Consulting environment
- Exposure to basic AI concepts, ethics, and methodologies
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Knowledgeable on design, creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, IBM, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with data quality analysis, and testing skills in API, ETL and SQL
- Exposure to basic data science concepts
