Work You'll Do

As a Records, Strategy and Transformation Consultant on the Government and Public Services team, you will be responsible for:
  • Applying Department of War records management requirements and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) guidance to electronic records management activities.
  • Supporting records appraisal, classification, retention, transfer, preservation, and disposition activities in accordance with approved records schedules and applicable requirements.
  • Assessing and organizing electronic records stored in O: Drives and other legacy repositories, including identifying records, non-records, duplicate files, transitory materials, and obsolete content.
  • Mapping legacy folder structures and content to the approved SharePoint Online information architecture, while applying metadata, naming conventions, record categories, retention requirements, and access controls.
  • Supporting bulk file migration efforts through data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, exception management, stakeholder guidance, and documentation of records management decisions, migration procedures, and disposition activities.
  • Identifying risks associated with improperly classified, inaccessible, duplicated, or unmanaged records and recommending corrective actions to improve records management compliance.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Ability to work on-site in Alexandria up to 5 days a week
  • 2+ years of experience in records management, information governance, information management, or federal records programs
  • Experience supporting defense records management activities
  • Experience applying National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) guidance, records schedules, retention and disposition requirements, records transfer procedures, preservation requirements, and records documentation processes
  • Experience managing electronic records and applying records lifecycle concepts
  • Experience supporting records migration, file inventory, data cleansing, repository consolidation, or file analysis efforts involving network drives or other legacy repositories
  • Experience using SharePoint Online, including document libraries, metadata, permissions, versioning, content types, and information architecture

Preferred:
  • Experience working directly with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) or supporting NARA-related records management activities
  • Experience applying federal records management directives, legal holds, disposition documentation, and records transfer procedures
  • Experience supporting federal records management or information governance programs
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
