Job Description
Piper Companies is hiring a Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base for a leading technology consulting organization supporting a Department of Defense customer located at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base will serve as a trusted advisor supporting advanced Unified Communications and enterprise network infrastructure within a classified environment. The Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base is a long-term contract opportunity requiring onsite support 4 days per week at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Responsibilities of the Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base:
• Serve as the lead technical consultant supporting enterprise Unified Communications and networking environments for a Department of Defense customer
• Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot collaboration technologies including Unified Communications Manager, Jabber, Unity Connection, and IM&P environments
• Provide advanced routing, switching, firewall, and network architecture expertise while supporting critical infrastructure initiatives
• Lead technical discussions regarding gateway protocols including SIP, SCCP, MGCP, and H.323, along with PSTN connectivity solutions such as PRI, SIP trunks, CUBE, and T1 circuits
• Perform lifecycle management activities including firmware upgrades, platform optimization, and infrastructure modernization efforts
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor while supporting escalations, complex problem resolution, and strategic technology initiatives
Requirements of the Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base:
• 8+ years of professional experience supporting enterprise networking, unified communications, and collaboration technologies
• Active Secret Security Clearance required
• CCIE Collaboration certification preferred or CCNP Collaboration certification required
• Strong background supporting Call Manager, Jabber, Unity Connection, IM&P, and enterprise UC environments
• Experience with routing and switching, firewall policy management, spanning tree, Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking, gateway protocols, PSTN technologies, and lifecycle management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Compensation for the Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret - Scott Air Force Base:
• $130,000 - $155,000, based on experience
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law
