Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a Federal Market Intelligence Analyst to support the Business Development and Capture organization through federal market intelligence, opportunity analysis, budget research, competitive insights and pipeline analytics. This role identifies and qualifies opportunities, analyzes federal spending and procurement trends and develops actionable insights to support data-driven growth decisions. The Federal Market Intelligence Analyst position serves as a strategic partner to Business Development (BD), Capture and executive leadership by transforming procurement, budgetary and historical contract data into meaningful business intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth, development and culture of an exciting and fast-growing company in the cybersecurity market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor System for Award Management (SAM.gov), GovWin, Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), USAspending, agency forecasts and other federal procurement sources to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Identify and track opportunities aligned with ShorePoint capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Perform early opportunity qualification assessments, including vehicle fit, capability alignment, incumbent and competitive analysis, opportunity timing and capability gap analysis.
  • Support go/no-go decisions through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
  • Analyze federal budgets, appropriations, congressional justifications and agency spending trends to correlate budget priorities with business opportunities.
  • Monitor executive orders, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memoranda, Inspector General (IG) and Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports, agency strategic plans and cybersecurity initiatives related to Zero Trust, Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), artificial intelligence (AI), post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness and cyber modernization.
  • Analyze and synthesize federal market intelligence, procurement trends and budget data to develop strategic insights and initial investment recommendations that support capability growth and corporate growth priorities.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support pipeline health, qualification metrics, capture prioritization and forecast accuracy.
  • Support go/no-go decisions through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
  • Identify trends across agencies, contract vehicles and capability areas to support forecast accuracy and growth planning.
  • Research historical procurement data using FPDS, USAspending and agency procurement records.
  • Track incumbents, subcontractors, award amounts, contract vehicles and recompete timelines.
  • Develop competitive profiles, customer spending histories and maintain historical win/loss and pipeline analytics.


What you need to know:

  • Federal procurement processes, market intelligence and opportunity qualifications.
  • Federal budgeting, appropriations, procurement trends and agency spending analysis.
  • Competitive intelligence, pipeline analytics and growth planning.
  • Federal procurement and market research tools, including SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS and USAspending.
  • Federal cybersecurity initiatives and market drivers, including Zero Trust, CDM, AI, PQC readiness and cyber modernization.
  • Dashboard development, reporting and data analysis to support business development and capture decision-making.


Must have's:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in the federal market.
  • Technical and industry experience, including extensive research experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, SharePoint and Salesforce.
  • Ability to think critically and independently while working in a cross-functional role.
  • Applicants must currently be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.


Beneficial to have:

  • Cybersecurity background.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Research Analyst, Certified Market Research Analyst or other certification requiring knowledge of industry best practices.
