Job Description

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to support Intelligence Mission Data efforts for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). You will work alongside an experienced technical team to develop and enhance cloud-based applications, build front-end and back-end capabilities, and support the secure delivery of intelligence data to mission users.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
  • Assist in the design, development, troubleshooting and analysis of software programs for computer-based systems.
  • Analyze specific intelligence requirements and map the requirements to data catalog.
  • Develop front-end and backend code for a cloud-based application.
  • Develop software applications using technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, and Angular.
  • Develop code rulesets adhering to guidance to create bespoke data sets in multiple formats, re-mark the data set's overall security marking, and transfer the data set for dissemination.
  • Work with CI/CD team to ensure proper deployment to the Military Knowledge System (MEKS) instance upon government authorization.
  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and implementing software programs.
  • Assist in analyzing user's software program needs and assists in troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems.
  • May perform or assist in systems modeling, simulation and analysis.
  • May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.
  • 0-5 years of demonstrated related experience.
  • Knowledge of full-stack software development concepts, including front-end and back-end development and software architectural principles.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages or software development technologies, such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with front-end and/or back-end development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, LINQ, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats such as XML and JSON.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based application development and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, or equivalent) within 90 days of hire.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance within six months of hire.
  • Ability to qualify for a DoD Top Secret security clearance and successfully complete a Counterintelligence Polygraph, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience developing across both front-end and back-end components of software applications.
  • Experience with C#, .NET/ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, LINQ, and/or Visual Studio.
  • Experience with AWS cloud development environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and practices.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, modeling, or technical computing tools such as Power BI or MATLAB.
  • Experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented software development environment.
