General Function:
- Support Avionics Equipment Specialist functions for UAS avionics, communications, and electrical systems.
- Support Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) specialist functions for airframe, propulsion, mechanical, structural, composite, flight control, landing gear, and ground handling systems.
- Support Ground Control Station (GCS) specialist functions for UAS ground communications systems.
- Perform Mobile Field Service duties with extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel as directed by the Government.
- Provide equipment specialist support for UAS research and development activities.
- Support aircraft production and lifecycle acquisition efforts.
- Support sustainment activities throughout the UAS lifecycle.
- Provide maintenance planning support for MQ-1, MQ-9, and similar UAS platforms.
- Provide logistics support for A&P and Avionics maintenance activities.
- Serve as a technical advisor on UAS airframe and propulsion systems.
- Support multidisciplinary teams in achieving program objectives.
- Provide logistics guidance to Headquarters, ACC, and field maintenance supervisors.
- Provide quality assurance (QA) guidance for maintenance operations.
- Assist with troubleshooting Technical Order (TO) 00-25-107 technical assistance requests.
- Develop maintenance dispositions for USAF maintenance units.
- Identify potential technical or maintenance issues.
- Recommend corrective actions for Government consideration.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve system engineering concerns.
- Support maintenance issue resolution for fielded equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Assist the Government in inspecting contractor production and depot repair activities for program aircraft.
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
- Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position is estimated between $130K-135K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PE Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
