The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring for a Systems Engineer in the Washington Navy Yard.
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP. Specifically, the Systems Engineer will provide support to the government team within Missile Branch responsible for the Tactical Avionics program, to include avionics software, survivability, and batteries support. The Systems Engineer will support development of integrated program schedules, assist with risk and opportunities management, coordinate with government and prime contractor stakeholders, review technical documentation, and assist with walkup to attend milestone reviews.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time at the Washington Navy Yard.
- U.S. citizen with DoD TOP SECRET clearance, or a SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 10+ years professional experience in an engineering position.
- Exceptional writing and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience supporting Strategic Systems Programs.
- Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes.
