This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.

As a SECURITY STRATEGY ANALYST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Implements supporting procedures and practices to cover J-7 and shared OSD/Joint Staff, Service, combatant commands, defense agencies, partner and ally security objectives and advises and supports internal and external groups to identify and resolve significant security issues.
- Provides leadership in working groups, supporting interagency and international study groups, meetings, and conferences, providing strategy guidance and feedback.
- Plans, implements, and monitors the J-7's broader security program strategies spanning U.S., intelligence community, and ally and partner controls.
- Develops program plans, policies, procedures and implements the oversight and administrative functions supporting J-7 personnel.
- Manages, inventories, secures, and destroys J-7 storage media of varying classification levels.

- Leading a Security Program
- Developing, interpreting, and implementing security objectives, plans procedures and operations in a SAP, TS-SCI environment
- Performing duties of a unit Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO), unit SAP Personnel Security Official (SPO), unit Special Security Representative (SSR), and unit Media Control Officer (MCO)
- Developing and coordinating new methods supporting development and use of collaborative and/or multi-partner, global, and multi-portfolio joint Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information/Special Access Programs/Compartmented Access Programs (TS/SCI/SAP/CAP) security programs
- Applying new concepts and advances to address unique security challenges not readily susceptible to treatment by accepted/published security methods, technology, or procedures and satisfactorily integrating new approaches.
