Program Overview

Peraton provides the customer with enterprise infrastructure support to plan, engineer, implement, enhance, maintain and operate the global consular affairs IT environment.

About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Lead to support the day-to-day management of warehouse operations supporting enterprise IT hardware lifecycle management in a fast-paced federal government environment. The Deputy Warehouse Lead serves as the second-in-command to the Warehouse Manager and assists in overseeing inventory management, asset accountability, hardware forecasting, receiving, configuration, order fulfillment, shipping, equipment transfers, repair coordination, and surplus processing. This position also serves as the primary shipping coordinator, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of domestic, international, and diplomatic pouch shipments while maintaining compliance with customer and organizational requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring efficient execution of warehouse activities.
  • Serve as the acting Warehouse Manager in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
  • Coordinate and process all domestic, international, and diplomatic pouch shipments, including shipping labels, manifests, customs documentation, and shipping records.
  • Receive, inventory, configure, test, repair, package, and distribute IT hardware and equipment.
  • Process customer tickets and work orders using ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing ILMS, Core IMS, barcode scanning technology, and other inventory management systems.
  • Coordinate equipment transfers between warehouse locations while maintaining asset accountability.
  • Assist with forecasting hardware requirements and maintaining inventory projections.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports, inventory status reports, and operational metrics.
  • Order and maintain warehouse consumable supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Participate in customer meetings, warehouse status reviews, and team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures and proper material handling practices.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer support

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 6 years experience along with a High school diploma or GED required.
  • U.S Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or IT asset management.
  • Experience coordinating shipping and receiving operations, including preparation of shipping documentation and labels.
  • Experience supporting domestic and international shipping operations; experience with diplomatic pouch operations is highly desirable.
  • Experience utilizing ILMS, Inventory Management System, ServiceNow, barcode scanning technology, and other inventory management systems.
  • Experience processing customer tickets and work orders within an IT Service Management (ITSM) environment.
  • Experience preparing operational reports, inventory projections, and weekly activity reports.
  • Experience ordering and managing warehouse consumable supplies.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment and work safely in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or IT asset management operations.
  • Experience serving as a warehouse lead, deputy lead, or team lead in a government or enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience supporting Department of State, Department of Defense, or other federal government warehouse operations.
  • Experience coordinating diplomatic pouch shipments and overseas logistics.
  • Knowledge of federal property accountability, inventory management, and surplus property processes.
  • Experience developing hardware forecasts, inventory reports, and warehouse performance metrics.
  • Experience implementing warehouse process improvements and inventory control best practices.
  • Current forklift certification.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
