Participate on a RDT&E program contractor team providing technical and program management support to the Unites States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Strategic Plans, Policy, Logistics and Warfighter Development Directorate. Responsible for the development of technical (maturity, research goals and methods, prototyping) and programmatic (project design) knowledge for promising new capabilities .

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and program management support to the USTRANSCOM RDT&E Program
  • Research identified technology capability gaps to explore and exploit technologies that increase the responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of the JDDE
  • Support the OUSW R&E Liaison in participation in external RDT&E programs (e.g. Defense Innovation Acceleration (DIA), etc.) that address Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) operational and technical challenges
  • Drafting supporting documentation for planning, programming and budgeting processes, to include providing supporting documentation for decision-making/resourcing processes
  • Provide RDT&E project oversight, transition assistance and support demonstration/testing/assessment planning, execution and results analysis documentation
  • Provide project execution in the form of RDT&E candidate and program reviews, financial execution, budgetary analysis, investment plan creation, RDT&E program presentations (e.g., Distinguished Visitors, Congress, S&T Forums), maintain currency of USTRANSCOM RDT&E website, and engagement with applicable national/service labs, agencies, academia and industry
  • Assist the RDT&E Program Director's participation in and leveraging of other DoW RDT&E programs
  • Monitor and coordinate with the RDT&E project program managers, technical leads, collaboration partners and USTRANSCOM Budget/Finance (TCJ8-BC) on the status of assigned projects
  • Assist in preparation and of PowerPoint presentations, process summary reports, meeting minutes/ notes, and other program documentation.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics/finance, computer science, engineering, or other related business or quantitative discipline is desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Project Management Institute training, acquisition, and/or RDT&E project management experience/certifications desired.
  • DoW and/or USTRANSCOM experience leading/managing large technology programs including collaborating with DoW, industry, academia, and other government agencies preferred.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be able to lead and collaborate with others in project team-oriented environment, communicate complex analyses verbally and in writing, and develop innovative approaches to solving technical challenges.
  • Must be available for occasional travel.
  • Minimum of an active SECRET Clearance required. US Citizenship required
