Auria is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to support our MELCO program. This role can be remote or hybrid in CO Springs or Bethesda, MD.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Develop and maintain software for product development
- Support systems-level requirements analysis and design for CDRL deliverables (e.g., requirements specifications, ICDs) tied to program milestones
- Work as part of the SW team using Azure DevOps Server, TFS, TeamCity, or similar tooling for version control, bug tracking, project management, and automated build/test/release pipelines
- Participate in the program's Agile/Scrum development process alongside cross-functional engineering teams
- Support integration and test activities in coordination with the Test Engineering team
- Contribute to technical documentation, including user guides and patch descriptions, in support of CDRL submittals
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.
- 5+ years of experience developing software in the .NET environment
- 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (C# required; C++ preferred in addition)
- 3+ years of experience working on a SW team using Azure DevOps Server, TFS, TeamCity, or a similar capability for version control, bug tracking, project management, and automated build/test/release pipelines
- 3+ years of experience working as part of a larger Agile/Scrum SW development process
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Experience with WPF and/or MVC • Experience with JavaScript for web development
- Capable of building web services, particularly REST services
- Capable of developing code using multi-threading and asynchronous/synchronous interactions between threads
- Experience with SQL, SQL Server, Entity Framework
- Experience with WCF
- Experience writing unit, system, and end-to-end tests (e.g., Microsoft Test Manager, MSTest)
- Experience with XML
- Proficiency writing technical documentation (technical user guides, patch descriptions)
