Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician VI to support engineering documentation, systems integration, and technical support activities for Department of Defense Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (DoD C4I) systems.
The selected candidate will work alongside engineers and technical teams to support system installation, testing, troubleshooting, configuration management, and lifecycle maintenance activities.

Salary range $100,000 to $175,000 annually

Position Summary

The selected candidate will work alongside engineers and technical teams to support system installation, testing, troubleshooting, configuration management, and lifecycle maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and modify engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Support the installation and integration of systems and equipment.
- Assist engineers with system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate engineering and configuration documentation.
- Support system lifecycle maintenance and sustainment activities.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical personnel to ensure documentation and system changes are properly implemented.
Education and Training
Candidates must possess one of the following:
- An associate’s degree in engineering technology, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline;
- Formal electronics training completed through one of the following:
- A technical school;
- A military Class A or Class B Electronics or Communications School; or
- A four-year electronics apprenticeship; or
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least 12 years of applicable experience with a qualifying associate’s degree or formal electronics training; or
- At least 14 years of applicable experience with a high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of six years of experience supporting DoD C4I systems.
- Experience preparing or modifying technical and engineering drawings.
- Configuration Management experience.
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) systems.
