- You will be responsible for the operation of Fire Stations, and the maintenance and upkeep of fire apparatus and equipment.
- You will conduct completion of preliminary fire investigations on all fire appearing to have significant damage.
- You will work daily with other Fire Protection Division officers on matters pertaining to the operation of the division on day to day operations, resolving work problems and coordinating efforts.
- You will prepare, review and check all pertinent Fire Protection Division correspondence, reports and records.
- You will attend meeting with Public Works personnel when planning building and structures in order to ensure compliance with existing Fire Code.

- This position requires rotating shift work and is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to possess and maintain the following certifications: AIRPORT FIREFIGHTER, FIRE INSPECTOR II, FIRE INSTRUCTOR II, FIRE OFFICER III, HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INCIDENT- COMMANDER, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN.
