Job Description

Duties

  • You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates of support plans, programs, and activities.
  • You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
  • You will provide information about and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices and regulations.
  • You will perform studies or assist others with full scale studies.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
  • Assisting in the execution of financial analysis, financial modeling, and budgeting processes.
  • Utilizing automated financial management systems (such as N-ERP, DTS, or equivalent SAP-based systems) to extract data, generate financial reports, and track obligations.
  • Interpreting and applying financial policies and regulations to solve routine to moderately complex financial problems. Using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and databases to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
