Automation Engineer
Preferred Location: Oklahoma City, OK; Ogden, UT; Mechanicsburg, PA; Montgomery, AL (hybrid)
Secret clearance required (minimum)
Apex is building a specialized team supporting mission-critical SIPR infrastructure.
Automation– Key Skills
• Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and/or Shell scripting to automate infrastructure, cloud, security, and operational workflows.
• Experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, automation workflows, and standardized runbooks for enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience with HashiCorp Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle management across cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, secrets management, credential rotation, PKI integration, and secure automation practices.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to automate deployments and system changes.
• Troubleshooting, documentation, and automation governance skills with experience supporting compliance, change management, and large-scale operational environments.
