Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

This is a full-time position supporting an active U.S. Air Force contract at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom. The selected candidate will provide Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level maintenance support for F-15 aircraft in support of the 48th Fighter Wing. Occasional travel to other F-15 operating locations may be required based on mission requirements.

Position Overview
STi is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrician) to perform depot, intermediate, and organizational-level maintenance on F-15 aircraft stationed at RAF Lakenheath, UK.
This position supports scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, avionics modifications, and Technical Order compliance while ensuring aircraft are safely returned to mission-ready status. The successful candidate will possess strong avionics troubleshooting skills, extensive F-15 electrical maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrician), you will:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical and avionics maintenance on F-15 aircraft.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical and integrated avionics system malfunctions.
• Remove, install, align, operationally check, and modify integrated avionics systems and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
• Perform aircraft inspections, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), Time Change Items (TCIs), One-Time Inspections (OTIs), and aircraft modifications.
• Support Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level maintenance operations.
• Interpret Technical Orders (TOs), wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer technical manuals.
• Complete aircraft maintenance documentation, logbooks, forms, and electronic maintenance records.
• Assist with flight line operations, launch and recovery, High Performance Organization (HPO) inspections, and aircraft servicing.
• Support engine operation, support equipment inspections, aircraft movement, and general aircraft maintenance activities.
• Maintain compliance with Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), hazardous material, and safety procedures.
• Provide technical input for Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) documentation, and recommended Maintenance Work Order (MWO) improvements.
• Lead small maintenance teams during complex maintenance tasks and provide guidance to junior mechanics when required.
• Coordinate depot-level engineering support through the Government when repairs require engineering disposition.
Minimum Qualifications
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of military or commercial aircraft maintenance training. Additional coursework in electronics, mathematics, physics, or mechanics is preferred.
• Minimum six (6) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent experience (within the past four years) performing F-15 electrical/avionics maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience removing, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, and operationally testing F-15 avionics systems and electrical components.
• Ability to remove and install Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and externally mounted avionics equipment.
• Experience performing aircraft electrical system modifications.
• Working knowledge of: Electrical and electronic theory, Microelectronics, Gyro and synchro systems, Wiring diagrams and schematics, Technical Orders and maintenance directives, Electronic test equipment and measuring devices
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical publications and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to troubleshoot moderate to complex aircraft electrical and avionics issues.
• Ability to prioritize workload while meeting maintenance schedules.
• Ability to make accurate aircraft maintenance logbook and documentation entries.
• Normal color vision as required by AFI 48-123.
Preferred Qualifications
• Depot-level aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience supporting Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot (OID) maintenance environments.
• Experience supporting flight line launch and recovery operations.
• Experience performing TCTOs, OTIs, and TCIs.
• Experience operating military support equipment.
• Familiarity with Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), and Maintenance Work Orders (MWOs).
• Previous experience supporting overseas DoD maintenance operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Wage: $20.00/hour
