Job Description
This team of Thermal Engineers TS/SCI will support up to 7 programs (long term) out of Boulder CO. We need to package up our guys all into one email so we need to gather our top people take our time a little and make sure they are locked in with us. They would love to have 1 firm sole source but that is very unlikely so it has been sent out to others (needless to say we have competition).

Clearance Requirement: Reference attached Performance Work Statement
On site requirement: Full time, 5/40, Boulder, CO *Requirements will include 24/7 support during different phases of program testing as it ramps

Thermal design and analysis of spacecraft and/or precision aerospace electro-mechanical, and/or opto-mechanical flight
hardware systems, cryo systems, antenna communication systems, tactical systems, components and/or ground support
equipment from concept through detail design and testing
• Develop thermal loads and environments for hardware (spacecraft, instruments, etc.)
o Model extensively in Thermal Desktop (preferred version 26R2)
• Modeling tasks may include steady state and transient thermal math modeling, computation of heat transfer coefficients,
and heat flow calculations. Potential analyses include:
o Space Vehicle (SV) level thermal distortion analysis
o Thermal radiator and heat pipe sizing/design trade studies
o High thermal conductivity plate modeling/design
o Solar array model development and analysis
o SV Heater sizing, design and placement including control sensor locations
o Ambient testing analysis
o General SV level modeling and analysis
o Propulsion level design/analysis
o Propulsion system heater sizing, design and placement including control sensor locations
o Battery level thermal analysis
o Battery heater sizing, design and placement including control sensor locations
o Requirements verification
• Design/develop thermal environmental tests required to satisfy requirements (in air and/or vacuum)
• Support thermal environmental testing
• Write detailed reports for test and analysis activities, presentations to customers and/or program team and development
of engineering reports and/or test procedures
• Review drawings, procedures and engineering orders for completeness, compatibility, producibility, and correctness
• Communicate the technical and programmatic aspects of a project to the team and customer
• Promote development of a strong team by participating in key aspects of a project
• Lead small teams (up to five engineers) to design, develop and deliver a thermal control system
