- You will develop financial policy and guidance to subordinate commands on financial procedures, forms and documentation.
- You will review and analyze resource requirement submission to ensure compliance with established guidance.
- You will prepare, consolidate and analyze data for preparing briefings on initiatives and programs.
- You will review and analyze command financial ceiling and budget tracks and adjustments.
- You will analyze command financial plans (i.e., spending plans and standard operating procedures).
- You will analyze obligation performance trends and variations against approved spending plan and recommend corrective actions as required.
- You will research regulations and directives to answer financial inquiries.
- You will make assistance/inspection visits to subordinate commands to review resource formulation and execution programs and performance.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
