Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting avionics systems on CH-47 helicopters. You’ll work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure all systems meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and integrate avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and mission-specific equipment
• Perform system modifications and upgrades using technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering specs
• Conduct functional and operational testing to verify system performance
• Troubleshoot avionics issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Document all work performed in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
• Follow all safety protocols during installation and modification processes
Qualifications
• 3+ years of avionics installation and modification experience
• Experience with military or rotary aircraft (CH-47 preferred, but not required)
• Strong understanding of avionics systems, wiring, and schematics
• Proficiency with avionics tools and test equipment
• FAA A&P certification or FCC GROL is a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required)
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork
Additional Requirements
• Ability to pass a 10-panel non-DOT drug test and background check
• Must have proof of U.S. citizenship
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in varying environments, including near-flight lines and in non-climate-controlled spaces
• Capable of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
