Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Aide for a contract opportunity in Andover, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience with troubleshooting RF and digital circuits.
  • 3+ years experience with laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, and Signal Generators.
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • 3+ years experience with electrical component parameters and packaging.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Safe handing of ESD sensitive devices.
  • Candidate should have knowledge of Test Equipment: PNAs, Signal Generators/Analyzers, etc. Candidate should be able to set up test stands/test benches. Should be able to collect data (Power/ S Parameters/Harmonics/Phase Noise/Noise Figure).
  • Candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Should be able to use a microscope proficiently. Should have Block Diagram and Schematic literacy. Should be able to perform assembly to print (without work instruction help) and have general RF knowledge.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
  • Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency, and quantitative judgements concerning technical data.
  • Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
  • May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

May build wire harnesses to drawing specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Associate's degree in electronics or closely related technical field is desirable.
  • Familiarity with microelectronics assembly techniques and desired.
  • Soldering and assembly experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic modules including amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation, and frequency conversion circuits.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.


REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
  • Accredited Associate's degree in electronics or closely related technical field is desirable.


WORK HOURS

  • 4/10-1st Shift


ADDITIONAL

  • Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with previously held active clearances. Interim clearance required prior to start.
