4482 Senior AI/ML Engineer

OVERVIEW:

As a Sr. AI/ML Engineer II, you'll support a Salesforce-centered modernization and digital transformation program. This role will design, develop, and deploy AI-driven Salesforce applications, intelligent workflows, autonomous agents, and decision-support capabilities that improve mission outcomes through automation, predictive insights, and human-AI collaboration The ideal candidate will combine their expertise with hands-on experience implementing Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, Data Cloud, and generative AI capabilities. This individual will be a key contributor within an AI-enabled development team responsible for rapidly delivering mission-critical solutions through intelligent automation, agentic AI, modern software engineering practices, and continuous innovation.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications that improve operational efficiency and user productivity.
• Develop autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents that support business processes, workflow automation, knowledge retrieval, and decision support.
• Implement Salesforce AI solutions leveraging Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein AI, Data Cloud, and other emerging AI capabilities.
• Configure prompts, agent actions, grounding strategies, knowledge integrations, and orchestration workflows to deliver effective AI solutions.
• Design human-in-the-loop AI experiences that balance automation with governance, transparency, and mission oversight.
• Build AI-enabled user experiences integrating conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, workflow automation, and decision-support capabilities within Salesforce applications.
• Develop integrations between Salesforce, AI agents, enterprise systems, data platforms, and external AI services.
• Design solutions that combine structured data, unstructured content, enterprise knowledge sources, and AI capabilities.
• Develop analytics, dashboards, and AI-driven insights leveraging Salesforce reporting, CRM Analytics, Data Cloud, and enterprise data sources.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Scrum Masters, and DevSecOps Engineers to deliver AI-enabled solutions aligned with mission objectives.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery, improve code quality, and enhance engineering productivity.
• Ensure AI solutions align with security, governance, responsible AI principles, compliance requirements, and federal standards.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve Salesforce applications, AI agents, automations, integrations, and intelligent workflows.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in a specialized field plus one (1) year of applicable experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree in a specialized field plus seven (7) years of applicable experience; OR Bachelor's degree in any field plus nine (9) years of specialized experience.
• Experience developing AI-powered solutions, including agentic workflows, intelligent automation, autonomous agents, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval- augmented generation (RAG), and enterprise knowledge integration.
• Experience integrating AI agents with external systems using APIs, middleware, event- driven architectures, and cloud-based integration patterns.
• Experience developing enterprise AI solutions that support automation decision-making, and business process optimization.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, and Data Cloud.
• Experience developing solutions within Salesforce environments or enterprise CRM platforms.
• Experience supporting the federal government, Department of Defense (DoD), or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms, AI development frameworks, and modern software engineering practices.
