Engineering Technician 2 (Electronics Assembler - 2ND SHIFT) - Warner Robins, GA
8 month contract to hire, ~$30/hr BOE
Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret security clearance are required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred.
Work Shift: Monday-Friday - 3:00 pm - 12:30 am
Aerospace/defense client is looking for an Engineering Technician 2 to support their Electronics production and repair department. As a member of the production and repair department you'll be responsible for the repair, assembly, modification, and maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be working on highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on. This position will serve on-site at Warner Robins, GA.
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic Qualifications for Engineering Technician 2
-Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
-Minimum of 2 years of repair capability experience(i.e., fabricating, repairing, and modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, shop or line replaceable units and wiring harnesses).
-Must have IPC J-STD-001 Soldering certification and meet associated training requirements.
Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Technician 2
-Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic assemblies using detailed drawings, work instructions or Technical Orders.
-Minimum of 2 years of repair capability experience(i.e., fabricating, repairing, and modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, shop or line replaceable units and wiring harnesses).
This position is intended to be contracted to hire. While this is our intent, this is not a promise to hire by Northrop Grumman. This contract position aligns with our full-time role of Engineering Technician 2.
