Overview:

Olgoonik is seeking a highly organized and proactive Manager Administrative I to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations at a U.S. Navy base. This role blends warehouse and inventory management, supply chain oversight, and technical support, ensuring efficient and compliant logistics operations. The ideal candidate will provide supervision and direction to warehouse personnel while supporting military readiness through accurate material handling, supply documentation, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory control systems to track incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Enforce safety and security procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and Navy regulations.
  • Supervise material handling equipment operations, space utilization, and warehouse layout planning.
  • Perform periodic inspections and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Coordinate logistics processes between internal teams and Navy stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of supplies.
  • Monitor supply levels, reorder thresholds, and demand forecasting to prevent shortages or overstock conditions.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to reconcile purchase orders with received shipments.
  • Liaise with transportation and logistics partners to schedule deliveries and resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Vendors for material procurement
  • Manage OM&S supply inventory

Supply Technician Functions:
  • Perform hands-on supply technician tasks such as cataloging, labeling, issuing, and maintaining supplies and equipment records.
  • Use Navy and DoD supply systems (such as Navy ERP, R-Supply, or similar) to manage inventory transactions.
  • Prepare documentation for supply requisitions, transfers, and turn-ins.
  • Support mission-critical supply chain functions to ensure continuous operational support for Navy units.
  • Uses required Navy ERP and the NSLC Warehouse Process Guide and other Government Data Systems in the performance of the contract.

Analytical and Reporting Duties:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supply and logistics data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Generate performance reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and warehouse productivity.
  • Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Provide briefings and status reports to senior managers and Navy personnel.
  • Management of "projects" like implementing a new process at a company, or new network system, or experience with Navy procurement or logistics.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervisory responsibilities are not anticipated.


Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of military logistics systems and processes.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in one or more of the following: logistics services, material management, transportation, material handling, use of information systems in logistics management or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Experience that includes three (3) years distribution and warehousing using Navy ERP and the NSLC Warehouse Process Guide or equivalent WMS.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in a DoD or Navy logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with DoD supply regulations, NAVSUP policies, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) procedures.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement training.
  • Must be trained to operate forklift up to 6000 pounds.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software and Navy ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • A valid driver's license.


Security Clearance:

SECRET Clearance
  • Have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation
  • Be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance

Work Environment:

General warehouse and office environment. Some travel both domestically and internationally required based on business demands.
