Position Summary:
The NFRs/CAPs Analyst provides NFR and CAPs related expertise and tracking support to the Defense Intelligence Agency - NFR Remediation and Closure Support Team. Specifically:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to remediate, downgrade, and close auditor-issued Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) and associated corrective actions in support of Government audit and compliance objectives.
- Develop and implement NFR remediation strategies, providing guidance and recommendations to address control deficiencies and support sustainable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Government stakeholders, process owners, and audit teams to develop, refine, and execute Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Substantive Corrective Action Plans (SCAPs).
- Review and assess remediation evidence to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality, supporting Government and auditor validation requirements.
- Track, monitor, and report the status of NFR remediation activities, corrective actions, key milestones, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Provide advisory support for audit readiness and compliance activities, ensuring remediation efforts align with applicable standards, policies, and auditor expectations.
- Maintain documentation and reporting mechanisms that support transparency, accountability, and successful validation of corrective actions and NFR closures.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
- 3 years of experience with CAPs/NFRs/Audit Remediation
- Experience with Defense Financial systems (i.e., SAP/Oracle)
- Existing or Ability to Obtain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required

- Attention to detail: strong proofreading skills for claims documents, ensuring accuracy in names, dates, and case details.
- Organizational skills: ability to organize, file, and retrieve claims documents accurately (both physical and digital).
- Writing and Communication skills: professional written and verbal communication for client interactions and correspondence with military stakeholders
Research Competency: ability to conduct basic relevant research using both databases and stakeholder interviews, and summarize findings clearly
