• Integrate automation solutions with external enterprise services such as Infoblox DDI, Tenable Security Center, and ServiceNow leveraging JavaScript and REST APIs.
• Maintain underlying VMware vSphere and VCF infrastructure to support automated provisioning, resource allocation, and VM lifecycle management.
• Ensure all automated deployments and self-service components comply with federal security standards, government baselines, and DISA STIGs while conducting vulnerability remediation.
• Proactively monitor automation platform performance, troubleshoot complex workflow or provisioning failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, automated blueprints, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
• High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills & Experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
• 5+ years of experience using JavaScript and REST APIs (specifically Infoblox DDI and Tenable Security Center) to develop cloud automation solutions.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing automated workflows using VMware Aria Automation/VCF Automation tools.
• Proficiency building, customizing, and maintaining orchestration workflows with VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator/VCF Operations Orchestrator.
• Comprehensive operational understanding of VMware vSphere and VCF environments, including VM lifecycle, resource allocation, and cluster behavior.
• Experience integrating automation workflows with ServiceNow via API to automate ITSM processes, approval routing, fulfillment, and ticketing.
• Strong foundational understanding of diverse IT domains including enterprise virtualization, IP networking, core infrastructure services, network boundaries, and enterprise storage.
• Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Relevant VMware certifications highly preferred (e.g., VCP-VVF Admin, VCP-VCF Admin, VCP-VCF Architect, VCP-DCV, or VCP-Cloud Management).
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and security concepts within VMware NSX, including logical switching, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and experience automating containerized workloads utilizing vSphere Kubernetes Services (Tanzu) integrated with VMware Aria Automation.
• Familiarity with AWS and Microsoft Azure public cloud platforms, hybrid cloud architectures, and multi-cloud provisioning integration.
