Job Description

GDH is seeking a Solution & Domain Architect / Modeler to support critical government computer system(s) for the Architecture and Modeling Branch. This role is primarily responsible for establishing, sustaining, and automating the foundational technical baseline and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) architectures throughout the solution lifecycle.

Responsibilities

As a Solution & Domain Architect / Modeler, you will serve as a primary technical resource for providing the architectural context that guides all software development, delivery, and sustainment activities. You will ensure that all platforms and applications are built on a consistent, secure, and automated foundation.

Key responsibilities include:
• Construct and maintain actionable MBSE Domain architectures, including creation and update of Solution and Platform Architectures for existing Products/Platforms, based on the provided CG Digital Engineering Ecosystem and integrated digital models to establish a definitive technical baseline.
• Integrate Zero Trust principles and cybersecurity requirements, provided by the ASE Security Branch, directly into the foundational design of all solutions, platforms and domain architectures.
• Formalize technical standards and interoperability standards, ensuring full synchronization with overarching PEO C5I enterprise strategies and policies.
• Provide architectural guidance and reference models to development, integration, and product teams to ensure engineering remains traceable.
• Map and document complex service capabilities, architectural dependencies, and automated workflows across multiple technology domains.
• Drive the continuous evolution of the Software Yard's baseline by monitoring, evaluating, and recommending emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards, government baselines, and DISA STIGs through automated security gating and vulnerability remediation.

Qualifications
• High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills & Experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
• Proven experience creating and maintaining MBSE domain, solution and platform architectures, integrated digital models, or enterprise-level architecture blueprints.
• Experience with OMG Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) 1.2 or newer version, SysML and UML.
• Comprehensive operational understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and integrating cybersecurity controls into foundational designs.
• Strong experience establishing engineering frameworks, technical standards, and software traceability practices across automated lifecycles.
• Strong foundational understanding of diverse IT domains including enterprise virtualization, software engineering, cloud architecture, and network boundaries.
• Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with PEO C5I enterprise strategies, architectural policies, and command structures.
• Relevant professional certifications highly preferred (e.g., DevSecOps certifications, AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or INCOSE ASEP/CSEP).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, software-defined infrastructure, and secure hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience with CATIA Cameo and Teamwork Collaborator (TWC).
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
