Job Description
Job Description: You will focus full-time on the incremental remediation and modernization of a legacy Java monolithic application. Working in a secure development environment, you will upgrade outdated frameworks and dependencies to meet enterprise CI/CD security scanning, DevSecOps, and cloud hosting standards by leveraging cutting-edge agentic AI engineering workflows.
Required Qualifications
Professional, hands-on experience utilizing agentic AI workflows and tools for spec driven development, automated code modernization, framework upgrades, or code transformation.
Professional, hands-on experience using Kiro (or closely related frameworks) for agent orchestration and multi-agent developer workflows.
5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with demonstrated success leading multiple legacy Java application modernization initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).
Strong proficiency with Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM, JSF (or equivalent Java web frameworks), and related enterprise Java technologies.
Experience performing framework upgrades, dependency management, and code refactoring while maintaining strict functional parity.
Solid experience writing and maintaining automated tests and working within CI/CD pipelines.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience integrating agentic AI into federal DevSecOps practices, cloud hosting environments, and compliance-driven modernization.
Prior work supporting mission-critical government systems with high-volume public submissions or regulated processing cycles.
Experience supporting federal suitability or Public Trust processes.
