Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a MECM Deployment Engineer to support the Navy/Marine Corp across various sites remotely. The team is seeking an individual with expertise across Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and software deployments to ensure reliability and efficiency for the enterprise network. Details below:

Location: 100% remote out ofNorfolk, VA, San Diego, CA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Bremerton, WA (must be local to one of the following)

Responsibilities of the MECM Engineer:
· Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable deployments, platform stability, and system performance.
· Identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve system defects and reliability issues.
· Develop automation solutions using AI-assisted coding tools and scripts to scale, secure, test, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
· Enhance system monitoring, logging, and reporting through Splunk and other observability tools.
· Analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
· Drive SRE and DevOps best practices through automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Design and maintain automated pipeline workflows that support business and technology objectives.
· Develop and execute resilience, performance, load, and stress testing strategies to validate system reliability.
· Build and maintain automated test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
· Partner with engineering and operations teams to define and validate reliability and performance goals.
· Ensure new services and features are thoroughly tested for performance, resiliency, and recovery before production deployment.
· Validate monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities through failure and recovery testing.
Qualifications of the MECM Engineer:
· Requires BS degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience
· Currently possess and ability to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
· Minimum of DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required prior to onboarding and must maintain certification while supporting the SMIT Contract
· Experience with automated script design, coding, debugging, and maintenance skills (using bash, python, etc.) preferred
· Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environments at enterprise scale.
· Proven ability to optimize MECM infrastructure for performance, reliability, and high availability.
· Expertise in automating MECM administrative tasks using PowerShell, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
· Strong background in Windows endpoint management, including patching strategies, compliance baselines, configuration items, and reporting.
· Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps/SRE concepts and best practices, with a desire to grow that knowledge
· Hand-on experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
· Experience creating JIRA and/or Azure DevOps workflows, projects, custom configurations
· Experience administrating/maintaining SRE platform via Ansible playbooks (e.g. upgrading Jenkins)
· Experience in automating tasks with scripting languages like PowerShell, or Python
· Integrating/maintaining with various 3rd party CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Gitlab.

Compensation of the MECM Engineer:
- Total compensation based on experience level - $90,000-$100,000+ **based on experience level**
