Job Description

Duties

  • You will analyze, develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive, outcome-based product support strategy for each production operations program/capability.
  • You will perform assessments as directed for programs and capabilities (on a recurring basis), identifying issues, concerns and risks that may impact the ability to establish or sustain programs/capabilities.
  • You will participate as a key member on Platform Capability Board (PCB) relating to a new depot capability establishment.
  • You will act as the integrator for multiple projects that fall under an overarching program and negotiate with resource manager for personnel to accomplish tasks in support of customers.
  • You will verify funding availability with customers in coordination with the business office.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a subject matter expert for programs/capabilities; 2) Analyzing programs/ capabilities, advising management on status and providing recommended for issues, concerns or risks which may impact the ability to establish or sustain program capability; 3) Demonstrating knowledge of principles, policies and practices of system acquisition and systems engineering required to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of the development, production, deployment and maintenance of programs, capabilities, systems, subsystems and associated equipment.
