Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Workday FSCM Go Live Readiness Lead to[join a contract in support of an important mission. This role will be the Go Live Readiness Lead for the Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management upgrade. Length of contract, 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Deploying templates and standards.
- Co-developing the team plans, timelines, organizational structure, and effort estimates.
- Meeting deliverable schedule.
- Leading the assignment of work items to team members/subject matter experts.
- Overseeing the work of the external consulting team members.
- Reviewing new/revised configuration and documentation.
- Validating development item, security, and batch functional specifications.
- Outlining test requirements, gathering test examples and data and developing test scripts.
- Performing testing efforts, including researching and resolving issues.
- Creating/revising business processes/user procedures, and providing training material inputs.
- Confirming team member and subject matter expert deliverables are completed within quality, timeline and budgetary requirements.
- Liaise with project team members to facilitate issue resolution and completion of deliverables.
- Escalating issues which affect delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence.
- Providing accurate and detailed weekly task reports to the Project Managers.
Education and Experience
- More than 5 years of Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management implementation/upgrade experience as a functional team member within responsibility area.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing functional project plans, documenting the business processes and application configuration revisions, writing functional specifications, creating test scripts, executing test scripts, researching and resolving testing issues, documenting user procedures, and preparing for and executing go-live activities.
- Experience with Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management upgrade and/or implementation activities at higher education, public sector, or healthcare industry clients.
- Historical perspective and expertise working on customized Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management and integrating with enterprise performance management (EPM) functionality, and custom and/or 3rd Party Systems (i.e. position budgeting, recruiting, time clocks, service providers, identity mgmt., etc.).
- Extensive experience leading teams comprised of integrated client, consulting firm, and/or independent Workday consultants.
- Experience performing upgrade and/or implementation projects in a multi-entity shared services transaction processing environment with employee populations of greater than 50,000.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite of products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, MS Project, and SharePoint and/or equivalent.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Workday Financial and Supply Chain Management transaction processing and enterprise performance management (EPM) technologies.
- Knowledge of full Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from a go-live readiness perspective.
- Ability to keep data confidential.
- Strong problem solving and analytic skillsets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to create leader, user, and project documentation and procedures, clearly and concisely.
- Strong meeting facilitation and interviewing skills.
- Meeting presentation skills.
- Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Extensive supervising, coaching, interpersonal, and collaborating skills and overseeing high quality and timely deliverable creation.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-tasking in a fast-paced organization.
